High Quality at Affordable Tuition Fees
A KLMU degree is a high quality yet affordable degree. Malaysian students are eligible to apply for education loans from the National Higher Education Fund Corporation (PTPTN). KLMU scholarships for Malaysian students are also available (subject to terms & conditions). The increasing demand for quality and affordable education has resulted in our forthcoming new RM200million purpose-built campus, strategically located in Wangsa Maju, Selangor. Targeted for completion in 2010, the state-of-the-art facility is only 15 minutes from KL city centre. International students will make up 15% of the overall population to enhance the global educational experience. The campus can also comfortably receive 4,000 students as residents at its hotel-style condominiums. As a result, the University is projected to reach 18,000 students in 2012.

KLMU Student Affairs Services provides invaluable help and support for all International and Malaysian students’ needs. Services include Student Activities, Student Finance, Career and Placement, Academic and Personal Counseling and Student Accommodation.

Student Accommodation
For anyone arriving for the first time in Kuala Lumpur, accommodation will be a prime concern. The University College has a dedicated service to help you find the accommodation you need. The department is open all year, including semester breaks.

Applying for Accommodation
As soon as you are offered a place at KLMU, you will automatically be sent an Accommodation Information Brochure, together with your application and registration forms. If you decide to accept the offer and require private accommodation, the application form must be completed and returned to:

There are many opportunities to participate in sports and recreation for all levels of ability, the emphasis being on enjoyment. For further information, contact KLMU Sports & Recreation Club.

Library & Resource Centre
The Library and Information Services Centre is at the heart of KLMU’s teaching and learning programs. The Library offers collections specific to your needs. In addition to books for loan and reference, we have a wealth of IT facilities and ever-growing collections of audio–visual material. Students also have direct access to sources of information via specialized online database services and the internet.

Study Support Program
KLMU prides itself on raising the aspirations of students, no matter where they come from or what their academic background. We take learners from where they are to where they want to be. Our areas of expertise include supporting learners with dyslexia, raising academic confidence and providing support for any issues that may be a barrier to learning.

Workshops
Other than your regular tutorials, workshops are provided that allow you to seek expert help on a particular topic or to find out more about an area in which you are interested.

Modern Language Centre
The benefits of being able to converse in another language are immense and anyone can acquire the basics of a foreign language. It also greatly enhances your employment prospects. At KLMU, language programs are offered in English, Bahasa Malaysia and Mandarin.

Career Service
The career service plays a crucial role in preparing you for the opportunities, responsibilities and experiences of working life. They have an extensive range of information on finding employment and further study opportunities.

Counseling
KLMU is committed to helping you achieve your academic goals. If personal or academic problems exist and you need to share them with someone other than family and friends, the University College Counseling Team is on hand to provide you with support and guidance.

Health Care
Students are encouraged to take a Medical plan or seek the assistance of the Student’s Affairs department to advise on the available Health Care schemes. The University College also manages a team of first aiders available to assist when minor accidents occur.

International Student Advisor
The University College has a thriving community of international students, drawn from over 20 countries. At KLMU, a full time international student advisor is on hand to assist you with visa applications, including student visas, extensions, traveling aboard, opening bank accounts, etc.

Employment in Malaysia
During your course of study, international students are allowed to seek part-time jobs for up to 20 hours per week.
